Not to sure who moderates the AZM bird list. But I can confirm that the birders in Pima County are diligent, timely and extremely well qualified.
In my experience, which covers multiple fields, been tough to find genuine professionals in any “arena” for at least 10 years. Take what you can find and share your positive information. Good luck.

Always use a grain of caution when people post very rare birds to eBird. Sad too that it doesn't get corrected quickly either. There's been a Common Sandpiper post on eBird nearly a week ago, and even reposted twice more and nobody at eBird corrects it. Amazing.
