Subject: [Tweeters] flea treatments
Flea treatments on pets: topical treatments expose us to the chemicals
every time with pet or snuggle with our fuzzy buddies, and the chemical
does get on whatever they are touching: rugs, furniture, bed spreads, ....
So, if you do need to treat for fleas (and prevent heartworm} use
something the pet can ingest. Yes, there are potential downsides to any
pesticide or other chemical, but this keeps it more safe for all involved.
Flea collars to the same thing: expose you and your kids and other
pets of all kinds to the pesticide.
No easy answer to living flea and heartworm free with our fuzzy
buddies.
