Thank you for posting this bit of sad news, Linda.
I will remember Bill as an excellent birder. He loved Linn County in
particular and participated in a Linn County Big Day in May of 2009. The
total of 142 was a record for the county at the time. He also served a
term on the IOU Records Committee. And he shared his editing and writing
skills with the IOU, serving on the IOU Publications Committee for
several years, and co-editing the IOU News newsletter for a year before
John and Anna Bissell took over. The IOU missed him immediately when he
moved to Oregon.
And I have missed his sharp wit/humor and good friendship.
