It is now 5:06 AM and two owls have been calling again while also moving
around. Eric Smith posed a question over a week ago regarding a post about
the hooting. He wonder if the owls could be hatch year learning to hoot.
The next time I heard them I listened with that question in mind and
decided they were both old pros. Today I’m not sure. One is definitely an
old pro giving a full hoot. However, the second owl seems to only hoot the
last phrase. An hour and forty five minutes of continuous hooting has just
elapsed.
