The nighthawk migration is back in swing. There were 45 Sunday evening and 54 tonight. We had a few fly directly overhead, but it was fun to see a few feeding in the vicinity of numerous Chimney Swifts.
We were surrounded all evening by Chimney Swifts (count was 160) and the river corridor had a persistent string of blackbirds (over 600).
All are welcome to join the migration monitoring, here, in Concord. We monitor from the top level of the Capital Commons parking garage on Storrs St. from 5:30-7:30 pm.
