Thank you! It was spotted again around 9am this morning, first on a tall Eucalyptus in Lick Mill. It flew across to Ulistac and sat grooming and eating berries.

Hi all,
I arrived early and enjoyed an unsuccessful search for the Summer Tanager reported yesterday by Howard F. (five minutes after I left, btw). I write “enjoyed” because it’s always nice to run into familiar faces!
But, after the sun came out, I returned to Lick Mill Park, and although the frenzy of birds has died down, the Summer Tanager has reappeared in the euc closest to the basketball court, and is currently moving about the tree as I write. Orangish-red overall with a honking tanager bill, and I even got a “pikitukituk” chatter.
Basketball players have arrived, so it’s a little noisy now.
