Subject: [CT Birds] Plum Bank Marsh Little Blue Heron
8/16- Little Blue Heron are starting to show up in increasing numbers again in Plum Bank Marsh, Old Saybrook. On a boat ride yesterday we found 3 separate groups. In the NE corner there were 2 adults, a juvenile, and a beautifully marked 1st year. In the NW area a group of 14 adults and 3 juvies flew up briefly and settled back down.(probably distant views from South View cul de sac, park on road and walk)In the southern portion a group of 2 adults, 3 juvies, and another mostly blue 1st year-could be viewed from area across from town beach. (No parking from 9-4)Viewing access is tough here!John OgrenSent from my Galaxy
