The Purple Gallinule is currently out in the open at San Joaquin Marsh Pond C being viewed from about here:

From what I have heard it's been all over the pond today. It often likes to stay buried in the clumps of low leafy green plants. I saw it earlier today in those plants around the bend to the left along with other birders. For now it's out.
