Brown crown, nape, and back; small white spots on back and wings; bold white eyering; white throat and belly; incomplete light brown, finely streaked breast band; wing tips slightly extending beyond the tail; white and black barred tail; yellowish-green legs; thin bill with light base and darkening towards the tip; foraging with periodical tail bobbing."

One bird was seen briefly but well with a flock in the canopy on the Norswing drive side south of the main entrance. This was a large, very dull Orange-crowned that was overall a dull olive color, with a large thick-based bill, dark eye, greener upper and slightly paler lower eye arcs, a large head with a faint veiled/hooded appearance, a streaked breast almost appearing vested, dull legs and feet, a relatively slim build and medium-length tail, and strongly and extensively streaked undertail coverts. This bird was silent. We were not able to photograph this bird unfortunately."

The entire face was yellow but there was a little smudgy grayish black around the auricular area, suggesting a juvenile and/or a female bird. The back was dark and contrasted with the yellow face. I was not able to get any other details in my brief look and my immediate impression was ‘Hermit Warbler’."
