Hi Becky, have been there a few times the last few years. For the Condors,
I saw them at Vermillion Cliffs as they have a lookout where they put cows
and when they put them out the Condors come. Also heard they can be seen
low at Navajo Bridge but I dont recall exactly the season, I think spring
in the evening.
March of 2025 at sunrise did a couple mile hike along the south rim heading
west from the west shuttle start and saw Bushtits, Pygmy Nuthatches, Red
Crossbills, Mountain Chickadees, Juniper Titmouse, different varity of
Juncos, Scrub Jays, and a Pinjon Jay that yelled at me to stop looking at
the canyon and turn around and look at him. Close enough for decent cell
phone shots.
In other years I recall Black Throated Gray Warblers and Rock Wrens.
