Hi Birders,
I'm excited to report we've recently crossed two exciting milestones:
* *Over 5,000 birders* have now contributed at least one checklist to the eBird Atlas project - currently 5,385 atlasers
* *Over 50% of blocks* have data - currently 8,533 blocks, or 51.63%
By the end of July, this brings the total number of species with confirmed breeding codes to *311*. That is a remarkable number for the first year of the Atlas.
*CBA Town Hall:* To watch a recording of the latest CBA Town Hall, which features an overview of species that breed in the second half of the year, click *HERE ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEM1QqwVgFI&t )*.
*Reminder:* Now that we’re in the second half of our first Atlas year, it's important to remember that continuing to atlas year-round is incredibly important. Knowing when and where birds aren’t breeding is often just as valuable as knowing where they are , and documenting the absence of breeding evidence helps paint a much more complete picture.
