Subject: [Tweeters] Crockett Lake access on foot (or tiny boat)?
Can one get IN to wander around on the shores of Crockett Lake or paddle the pond? Or is it not very approachable terrain (in addition to being at least partially private property)? I was interested recently in seeing if I could get a closer view of the pelicans than is available from the south, but there's no access from the north, apparently, and I'm not sure if you can practically walk in from the other directions.

A quick web search says ...

You primarily view Crockett Lake from a distance, as it is a highly sensitive wetland and mudflat environment rather than a recreational park with trails winding directly through the water. While the Crockett Lake Preserve<https://www.wclt.org/projects/crockett-lake-preserve/> is technically open to the public, its physical geography severely limits direct foot travel.
