Visitors: Cheryl, Dominic, and Vid stopped by in the morning.
Weather: Very cloudy in the morning but began to clear up around noon. Clear visibility throughout with no precipitation.
Raptor Observations: Best flight was observed from 11am-12pm EST. Flights increased in height but became fewer as the day went on, the few birds seen by the end were nearly out of binocular range.
Several osprey seen hunting throughout the day. At around 1:30 EST we observed an adult bald eagle give chase to an osprey with a fresh catch for a bit. Quite thrilling.
Non-raptor Observations: Swallows, martins and goldfinch persistent throughout the day. A couple eastern kingbirds were spotted in some bare trees nearby.
Predictions: Partly cloudy skies and light WNW winds tomorrow. Not expecting a big flight, but there should be a few raptors on the move until things cloud over later in the afternoon.
