Of course not long after I posted that the Stilt Sandpipers were still here, they picked up and joined a small flock of Short billed dowitchers and went higher and higher and were last seeing flying way to the south as specs, which is what shorebirds do here fairly regularly in the morning and are presumably heading south permanently.....
Numbers of juvenile Western Sandpipers have increased significantly, and finally the first juvenile Short billed Dowitchers have arrived.
