Not much area birding due summer high temps and other activities. At our home 1.5 miles south of Whitewood we continue to have most of the same resident/migrant birds including lots of Black-headed Grosbeaks and many other species including Indigo Bunting, but the Western Tanagers have departed. We had our first late hummingbird on 8/5/26 with a female Rufous Hummingbird which is still around today.
