As previously reported, I found a Solitary Sandpiper there this morning, near the eastern end of the wetland. I spotted it when a Greater Yellowlegs walked behind a much smaller bird (but not small enough to be a "peep"). Even through my scope I could not determine the actual leg color in the bad light, but all the other factors pointed to a juvenile Solitary Sandpiper.
Also present were the usual high number of egrets, plus at least 10 Greater Yellowlegs, 8 Black-necked Stilts, 2 Dowitchers, 2 Least Sandpipers, 1 Western Sandpiper, and several Kildeer. Most of the shorebirds are still congregating in the eastern end, where vegetation clumps may hide of lot of other birds. Still, in the more central portion of the wetland, I found the Stilts, a few Yellowlegs, and the Dowitchers, so I recommend scanning the whole area. And try to avoid the morning light if you can.
