- Comments: "Observed on mudflat opposite parking pullout along with 10 double crested. Decidedly smaller and with needle like beak. Was not there when I first arrived and not sure when or where it flew in from. Poor photo below. See bird to the right of the gull."

- Comments: "Continuing very small cormorant relative to adjacent double created cormorant. More sharply angled at intersection of bare skin and feathers on head. Photo to come."

- Comments: "Continuing bird reported yesterday by Nick Lethaby, and likely the same bird photographed by Mark Bright on July 22. This bird was much shorter and slimmer and had a shorter bill than the nearby Double-crested Cormorants as shown in the attached photo and those of Armando Aispuro who observed the bird with us. It also lacked any yellow on its lore."

- Comments: "Continuing, first reported by Nick Lethaby; seen with 3 others in Devereux Slough on mudflat with other DC cormorants. Much smaller, relatively short bill, acute angle where lower mandible joined with cheek. See (poor) photos"

- Comments: "Clearly smaller than nearby double crested cormorants with comparably short and stubby bill, and a longer tail. On careful inspection it lacked the yellow facial skin in the lore to distinguish from the others- although the lore is pale and feathery. The acute angle of the mandible in connection with the cheek and neck also favored Neotropic. It was resting on the slough shore at the terminus with Sands Beach, then went fishing (and caught a small flounder) after which it returned to rest. It made a yawning gesture- which I suspect was to process the digestion of the awkwardly shaped fish. This was a juvenile in dark brown to light tan plumage but a similarly small black one was also seen from a distance but not confirmed by us."
