- Comments: "Juvenile first reported yesterday. Today along creek between Hardie Park and Ocean Ave Bridge. Brownish-gray plumage, gray crown showing a few downy feathers, broad-based dark bill paling at base, yellow chin and lores, small white triangles at tips of wing feathers, yellow-green legs."

Yesterday's sighting was only the second-ever eBird report in the Cayucos Creek area.

Today's juvenile was observed midway between the two bridges, standing and walking on a log in the creek, dipping into the creek three times, apparently bathing, and exiting the water without shaking and only briefly preening.

Small white triangular spots on the covert feathers; downy feathers on gray crown; all dark, stout bill with yellow feathers at the base of the lower mandible; long greenish-yellow legs.
