My morning started with a leisurely flyover and circle of an adult Mississippi Kite when I took the dog over to the cemetery. I (again) didn't spot any crossbills, or later in the afternoon either, but two juvs and an adult female Red Crossbill were working through the sunflower stand we have planted outside our family room window at 6 PM.
