Around 4 pm today, Jim was on our front patio, which faces east. He saw
what he thought was a Turkey Vulture (which we don't see that often in
summer here).
It flew out of view, but then came back around, and this time he had his
binoculars at the ready, and got good views of a Zone-tailed Hawk! It was
flying in large circles, more or less over the Pet Cemetery, which is
adjacent/just north of the East Lawn Palms Cemetery. We've only seen them
from the house once or twice in the 13 yrs at this location - fun
sighting!
