At 10:00 a.m. on Friday, there's a flock of four breeding plumaged Black Terns flying around in the middle of the main part of Sweetwater Reservoir, as viewed with a scope looking North -Northeast from the fisherman's parking lot. Obviously these birds could go anywhere on the reservoir, including the way upper end where there is perhaps better roosting habitat if they so choose. Currently, they're being attracted by a diving feeding frenzy of grebes. Be aware that the birds will very likely be a long ways off.
The tiny speck immature Masked/ Nazca Booby continues this morning at the very end of the Zuniga Jetty as viewed with a a good scope either from Cabrillo Monument or as I did today even from the beach in Coronado near the Hotel Del Coronado. But in the latter case it's only because I knew which rock it sits on and could see a bird of approximately the right color pattern and shape and size!
