I had a notion to go outside this afternoon after work because the dew point was more tolerable, and I really don't like to be indoors. Dang it paid off.
I had a NORTHERN YELL\OW WARBLER in one of my mimosas (sorry) for over 30 minutes actively feeding on insects. This was only my second one at Falls Lake, and although they are close by somewhere on the lake or other places in Wake County, this was exciting for me.
I've never had more than 17 warbler species in the fall here, but this bird might help. If I can just get a cold front Blue-winged Warbler in late August or early September!
Middle of August starts the show, so obviously I'm getting pumped now.
