A few minutes ago, I received the following update re: the Eagle Bluffs Anhinga from Steve and Debbie Martin:

We are standing at the junction box (often called the pumphouse) looking east down the channel, and the Anhinga is on the left side of the channel opposite a white pole on the right. He’s sunning himself on a stump.

Awesome!

CAUTION!: This email originated from outside of Columbia College.

Update - this morning bird was first seen looking downstream from junction house, flying across channel from right to left. Landed out of sight in thick tree-line next to road. Was relocated sitting in a small patch of vegetation in middle of distribution channel directly across road from Pool 13 gate signage. It then dove, moving upstream. Later re-located in cattails with overhanging trees on roadside, upstream from pool 13. Later flew across channel landing high in a grove of trees, drying wings. Remained visible for many to see, including MDC staff who happened to be working in area.
