Subject: [CT Birds] Adult Education opportunity
This came into the COA contact email. If interested, contact Noel Ambery
directly: <nambery...>

I ... wanted to reach out to you to see if you may be interested in
teaching a class for our local adult-education program. I act as a Site
Coordinator for Northwest Connecticut's Region 1's EdAdvance program, and I
am currently planning our Spring 2027 course offerings. Would you be
interested in teaching an Introduction to Falconry Class--or a similar
class--for adult students ages 18+? We are doing online and in-person
classes. It sounds like a wonderful subject for students to learn more
about. Teaching a class can also be a great opportunity to broaden the
instructor's audience and to emphasize one's brand. I enclose a very brief
Course Proposal Form to submit along with a brief bio/syllabus to that
effect for your completion at your earliest convenience. We pay our
instructors $20/hour.

Spring 2027 non-credit enrichment online classes can be held as well. Many
of our online courses are held via Zoom (either the instructor's own Zoom
account, which can be held anytime, or a Zoom account that our agency can
provide you that comes with a moderator to handle the technical stuff,
which can be held Monday through Thursday, anytime between 5:30 to 8:30
p.m.).

In-person classes can be held at any of our many sites that range from
Falls Village to Watertown (chances are, one of our sites is near you).
Depending on the site's schedule, in-person classes are held Mondays
through Thursdays, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. All classes are weekly and
can be scheduled anytime between February 2027 and mid-May 2027, excluding
holidays. Classes are generally two hours maximum. The number of classes in
a course can range from one class to a total five maximum; if a
second-level course to the subject is desired, we can develop that as well.

We are putting together courses for the Spring 2027 semester in the coming
months. Many returning instructors will soon be filling up available time
slots and classrooms. We would like to fit in your class. Please be sure to
submit the completed very brief Course Proposal Form at your earliest
convenience if you are interested. EdAdvance reaches about 81,000
households, and nearly double the number of individuals, and it would be
great to have such a class among our courses offered. Our courses have been
acclaimed by several local media, including most recently by the newspaper
The Republican-American (Waterbury, CT).

If you have any questions, please reach out to me at the below contact
information. I hope you will consider doing a class. I look forward to
being in touch. I appreciate your kind consideration. Please let me know if
you have any questions and I will be glad to assist.

Thank you,

Noel Ambery II
