I want to update this post and say that the bird is not at the beach. To me that implies that the bird is shredding up and down the beach and in this case, while I would love that to be true, it simply isn’t.
The puffin is about 2/10 of a mile out to see. It is extremely difficult to see. And if you are just trying to check the box, it’s an opportunity, but really the bird is extremely difficult to identify even with a scope.
