For the past several evenings, there have been a pair of Merlins making their loud repetitive call from a tall evergreen in the Greenwood neighborhood. The male (more colorful of the pair) is ofen pearched near the top of the tree in the open calling.
At times we see the pair flying around and doing aerial acrobatics, which I think is a courtship ritual.
