Heading out for a bike ride this morning had a Red Crossbill go over the barn and down the road then on our return heard them in a neighbors large spruce. Have heard them frequently in several N Quabbin locations over the past couple of weeks. The other day had 6 feeding in Pitch Pines at Gate 35 and was able to record their calls. Emailed it to Cody Porter who I have sent recordings to in the past few years. Does anyone know if anyone is still id’ing crossbill calls?
