Hello Massbirders. I write to say that Mr. Guy Tudor, well-known bird artist and conservationist, passed away at his eastern Long Island home at the age of ninety-one. Guy died peacefully in his sleep earlier this week. Guy is undoubtedly best known for his illustrations and writing in a number of important books on Neotropical birds. Let me say that he was also an ardent conservationist and champion of biodiversity and throughout his seventy-year career he contributed in so many ways to our knowledge of birds, flowering plants, and insects. We would still be in the dark about a lot of things were it not for Guy Tudor and his followers.
