My sister sent this news of an interesting study about co-development. . . . .
Solar panels on peatlands seen as a boon for birds
A study in Ecological Solutions and Evidence revealed that a solar park built on rewetted peatland in northern Germany supported a more diverse and evenly distributed bird community compared to adjacent drained grassland. The site attracted a mix of species, including wetland birds such as reed bunting and meadow pipit, as well as species from wooded and urban habitats. The findings suggest that the combination of restored peatland and solar panel infrastructure provides new ecological niches, leading to increased avian biodiversity on previously degraded land.
