Subject: [Ohio-birds] Mid summer birding
Has been hot! Temps wise…..stuff is starting to show up in SW Ohio. Finally!
But nothing new for my big year in Hamilton county alas…..

I went to check out this industrial area retention pond in Butler. 5 BN Stilts
Have been around! Very nice! Family group?

And Lo and behold- 2 BB whistling ducks also! I urged them south to Fernald!
I wonder what else will show up here?!

Checked out the Armleder bean field, it looks perfect for shorebirds and waders! I
Am not used to this for a summer in Hamilton. I think because of the wet year we have
Been having. Plus there was some bulldozer work here over the winter. No idea
What that was about. Anyway, keeping my fingers crossed for a rarity or 2 here!
One more spot to check on!

Ode notes. They have been good! Finally…..

Good birding all.
