I just want to share an interesting observation I made at Beau Pre Golf Club this morning: a male intergrade flicker (presumably the one I photographed there last summer) feeding a male fledgling! See https://ebird.org/atlascalifornia/checklist/S372100289. Wondering if this might be the first confirmed breeding of an intergrade in the area. This juvenile makes me appreciate how hard it must be to differentiate intergrades from Gilded Flicker where they co-occur!
