These are generated by hacked email accounts and are not intentionally sent. Most of the time, the sender will not realize that they are generating the scam emails. Some of these emails are being generated from members of our listserv and they are going to other members. I immediately place such accounts on moderation so I can stop future scam messages, but by the time I do some of you will have already received the invite emails.
