I’m currently in the midst of a motorcycle ride around the state and a few hours ago I stopped on Trudeau Road in Bethlehem to take a short walk on the trails off the road there. I visited a small wetland along the path that I’ve visited in the past and was surprised to find a Solitary Sandpiper. It appeared to be a juvenile but I’m admittedly not great at aging shorebirds. Either way it seems to be an early fall migrant so, like it or not, fall migration is upon us.
