The Whippoorwill is still present and sleeping away at 12:50 p.m. Just so it's clear, this is currently a whippoorwill sp. But the rictal bristles look entirely dark and most important they look very long with the longest ones drooping down all the way to cover the upper breast and that may favor Mexican whippoorwill over Eastern. So perhaps we are leaning that direction as it being a Mexican, but still not definite.
