This talk will describe results from the first year of the California Bird
Atlas in Los Angeles County. Participation in the atlas within Los Angeles
County is very strong and has already exceeded the participation in the
previous atlas 30 years ago. This talk will discuss our progress, notable
records, and priorities and plans for the atlas’s second year.
