Nan, I well remember the year long yard list challenge! Wasn’t it our old friend John Sevenair who initiated that?
Living in the woods along Bayou Vermilion at the time I figured I’d do well — even vs Remsen, Cardiff, and Dittmann who were living in the woods around Bayou Paul (Iberville parish). I worked my ass off to get to 100 sp. That was my goal. I made it to 101. Felt smug — till I saw Cardiff/Dittmann post something like 199.
Them was fun times!
