- Comments: "Continuing female Eider. Seen with RJ Adams via his scope. Very bad photos due to heat haze, but it was in a line of Cormorants for size & shape comparisons. Could see a large rusty-brown duck. It had a distinctive heavy bill & an even slope from the forehead."

- Comments: "Continuing female eider. Distant views looking south from the Morro Bay Boardwalk at a female eider (large rusty-tan sea duck with distinctive heavy, dark bill with an even slope from the forehead). It was with a large flock of cormorants on a mud at the channel mouth"

- Comments: "continuing female across the harbor where it was resting on the inside of the sandspit. The bird had its head tucked into its back the entire time I was present. Photos by another observer this morning showed the bird standing. Its feathers were both worn and sun bleached and the bill was dark and showed no pink (expected on a male)."

- Comments: "two continuing female plumaged birds sleeping along the inside of the sandspit. Both resting with bills tucked into back while in view. A little earlier when I first saw one of these birds if showed the expected thin, orangish merganser type bill, gray upper parts, pale underparts, and rusty reddish colored head that was too pale for a Common Merganser."
