Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Inca Dove, p.s.
As a follow-up to the earlier post about the continuing Inca Dove at the Bird & Butterfly Garden, several observers watched the bird between around 7:45 and 8:15 a.m. this morning, Monday. It started out this morning at drip #1, flew a little southwest to the railing along the dirt road that goes to the equestrian parking. It even crossed south of that road briefly and then returned to the edge of the dirt road and then went back to drip 1, where it even went to the drip proper and took a drink and then flew up into the thick vegetation immediately above the drip and got lost. Eve and Rob had the bird yesterday also exactly right over drip 1. So that seems to be the place to mostly look. And then secondarily along the south edge of the garden along the adjacent road to the equestrian parking.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://sandiegofieldornithologists.org/san-diego-county-avian-records-database/.
