Is it possible some swifts have reverted to nesting in trees again? Sadly my chimney is capped, as are all the houses in my neighborhood, but every summer, every evening around 8, a pair, or 3 or 4, fly in circles round my house (which is surrounded by old woods), often swooping quite low over the roof as if checking it out. Sometimes see them in the day as well. Are there any recent records of tree-nesters?
