One of our many cool encounters on today's Entangled Lives Walk....we were on the corner of the Visitor Center deck by the big spotting scope when, across the parking lot in front of the center, then up the walk, then into the vegetation not 20 feet away came two adult cranes with their two Colts. They slowly ambled by giving us incredible looks and great opportunities for asking questions about their biology, morphology and natural history. A true gift as is the monarch that just graced a flowering plant on my porch as I'm gratefully writing this (see attached photo). Pete Saracino
