So, later in the day, when one of our porches was in the shade and it was 91 degrees we decided to sit for an hour. We had shade, a breeze, and a view of the bird bath, hummingbird feeder, a suet cage and a feeder with black oil sunflower seeds. 4:00-5:00p.m. Bird list - 3 mourning doves, a ruby-throated hummingbird, 2 red-tailed hawks, 2 red-bellied woodpeckers, 3 downy woodpeckers, a northern flicker, 5 Blue Jays, 4 tufted titmice, a white- breasted nuthatch, a Carolina wren, 3 European starlings, a gray catbird, a brown thrasher, 2 house finches, a song sparrow, 5 red-winged blackbirds, 3 common grackles, 2 rose -breasted grosbeaks and a northern cardinal.
