The Sioux Falls Bird Club will hold its July field trip a week from tomorrow, on Saturday July 11. We will meet at the Outdoor Campus East (4500 S Oxbow Ave) at 7:30 a.m. to organize carpooling. Our first stop will be to the Tuthill neighborhood in southeast Sioux Falls to look for the Mississippi Kites that are presumably nesting in the area again (they continue to be observed, though no nest has been found yet this year, that I'm aware of). Then we will proceed to Touch the Sky Prairie near Luverne, MN to look for grassland birds, and will come back to SD for a stop at Palisades State Park near Garretson.
We will aim to return to the OC by midday. You do not need to be a club member to attend, all are welcome.
