Siting date: 20260702 Location: Rohn cabin mile 301 Iditarod trail Observer: Scott Wharton Birds: American Kestrel, Spruce grouse w chicks (hense the kestrel)
Nice siting of Kestrel about 20 ft off the ground. And fun to see the Spruce Grouse(taiga coloration) chicks, We also heard 2 different woodpeckers but could not identify them. There's a lot of beetle kill spruce in area.
