Northern Parula (Setophaga americana) (1)
- Reported Jul 02, 2026 17:36 by Aaron Maizlish
- San Jose Creek--near Berkeley Road, Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.8152416&<ll...>,-119.8152416 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S366797974 - Comments: "Several reported here earlier this week. Found one after looking for quite a while, on the paved path that goes around Maravalla, maybe 400 feet from the end of Merida. I don’t think this complex was built when I was growing up. Anyway it was chirping away quite loudly, but it took me about 10 minutes to get eyes on it when it flew out of the riparian area into the tallest Sycamore on the condo side of the trail, very good views of an adult Parula, but too far away for a crushing photo. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s attempting to breed in the Sycamore."
