Hi Everyone,
This morning I birded the Calero Creek Trail from Harry Rd. It was fairly quiet, but saw a WOOD DUCK in the creek, an ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER, and WESTERN KINGBIRD at the model airplane field, and a small group of CALIFORNIA QUAIL on the dry side of the hill. The bird of the day though was a BARN OWL that flew from an oak tree not far from Harry Rd into the oak tree above me. I wasn't able to find it again though. Maybe the low flying TURKEY VULTURE nearby spooked it from its roost?
