Playing the devil's advocate 😈 , Northern Gannets are reported to fly 60 mph. The straight line distance from HMB to where Jane reports the bird is under 15 miles, so they could cover that distance in 15 minutes. Jane reported it 37 minutes after the last HMB observation. I see from east coast sightings that they do travel inland occasionally. Too bad Jane didn't get pics or sound recording!
