Sadly that was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard about the bird being there. Which is why I'll never "chase" a sighting. People sicken me. Maybe State Park authorities can get involved to protect it better.

I was very excited to see this.
People were getting as close as they could to it and taking photographs. I
understand it's like tame, but have some ethics! I walked up to a group of
people thinking I was in the right place. I didn't realize that they were
about 4 feet from it. I walked away...
A person kept following it around getting very close pictures! I said
something to someone in the group, but people are ignorant. Again, I
realize it's pretty tame as it almost walked up to me as I was hiding
behind some phragmites and driftwood, so I left.
I left feeling very disheartened with our human race.
