Subject: [GeneseeBirds-L] Phalaropes on Chandler Rd./Piffard
Wilson’s Phalaropes, at least 2, a male and a female, are still in the flooded spot along Chandler Rd. (near Rte. 63 between Geneseo and Piffard). Ebird hasn’t passed this info on for a week now, But they are there. Best seen early morning or evening and with a lot of patience, as significant plant growth has surrounded the pond - creating good habitat for the phalaropes to hide in or possibly nest? Watch for any young.
