- Comments: "Single American Oystercatcher observed on exposed intertidal rocks at Montana de Oro State Park. The bird was associating with a small group of Black Oystercatchers along the rocky shoreline during low tide. It remained on the rocks for the duration of the observation and was readily distinguished from the surrounding Black Oystercatchers by its plumage pattern."
