Michael and I made the loop around the refuge this morning but did not see the Spoonbill. Others were out late yesterday afternoon and did not see it either Also the Common Tern was nowhere in sight, but a Forster's Tern entertained us this morning. If anyone relocated the Spoonbill, please let folks know.

However, at the Refuge are two birds of great interest. One is a COMMON TERN, flying over the first 3 cells across from the grainery.
The other is a full breeding plumage ROSEATE SPOONBILL, seen feeding in Cell 2. "He" is strikingly and oddly beautiful, and I encourage you to go see him if you can.
Lots of other wading birds: herons, egrets and BLACK-NECKED STILTS, plus several duck species including a Lesser Scaup.
